The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Rocky Mountain Synod
In addition, All Saints is part of the ELCA Rocky Mountain Synod. The word synod comes from a Greek word meaning “to travel a common road––to walk together.” The congregations, the people, and the ministries in our expansive geographical region of the Rocky Mountains––this is synod. Our local ministry and witness includes 159 congregations, 10 campus ministries, 3 outdoor ministries, 2 public policy offices, numerous social ministry organizations, the Office of the Bishop, and the synod council. The Rocky Mountain Synod is part of Region 2 of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Our church membership donates 10% of offerings to our local Synod. We also collect donations for worldwide hunger, disaster relief, clean water malaria prevention, health care, fisheries, farming tools and education. We can make donations through Lutheran World Relief knowing that 100% of all donations go directly to the source.
