The season after Pentecost, often called simply “the green season,” runs from Trinity Sunday, the week after Pentecost, until Christ the King, the week before Advent. There are relatively few “holy days” in this season, usually just Reformation and All Saints days (we added in a couple more this summer!) This season is called “ordinary time” where we are not really celebrating or preparing for anything in particular but are just working on our understanding of faith and scripture. In North America, it also nicely aligns with the growing and harvesting season for crops and plants to remind us we continue to grow in these seemingly “ordinary” times.
